Before our Easter worship begins, join us out on the church front yard for a joyous morning of food, community, and fun for the whole family.

The Easter Feaster (Potluck & Photos)

We’re kicking things off with an outdoors community potluck brunch! Whether you are a long-time member, a first-time guest, or a neighbor, you are invited to bring a favorite morning dish or treat to share. While we eat and connect, be sure to stop by our beautiful Easter flower cross—it’s a beloved CHUMC tradition and the absolute perfect backdrop for your Easter morning photos.

The Egg Hunt (in Seward Square)

After we’ve had some time to eat and mingle, our kids will head across the street to Seward Square park for the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt!

• A note on timing: The egg hunt does NOT start right at 9am! Take your time arriving, grab some food, and enjoy the community first. Our Easter Egg hunt will start around 9:20am-9:30am. We will make a clear announcement when it is time for the kids to line up for the hunt.

• For our littlest hunters: We want every child to have a great time, so we will have a separate egg-hunting space for our little ones (Pre-K and under). They can hunt at their own pace without having to worry about the older kids snatching up all the eggs!

The Details:

• When: Easter Sunday, 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM

• Where: CHUMC Front Yard (Brunch) & Seward Square Park (Egg Hunt)

• What to Bring: A potluck dish to share, and if you have kids participating, an Easter basket!

It takes a village to pull off a wonderful Easter morning! You’re invited to join our Easter Egg Hunt Prep Team (stuffing and hiding eggs) and our Easter Egg Hunt Helpers (assisting families and guiding kids during the event).
